Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our postpartum home visits are a warm, personalized check-in for you and your family. We take time to see how you’re adjusting, answer your questions, check in on your emotional adjustment and offer support with postpartum recovery, infant sleep, and newborn development.

We also provide individualized feeding support - whether breastfeeding, pumping, or formula feeding.

Visits can begin whenever you’re ready after birth, last about 1-2 hours, and are scheduled at a pace that feels right for you.

  • Our postpartum classes and home visits are designed for anyone preparing to welcome a baby—whether it’s your first or fifth, whether you’re parenting solo or with a full support team. In addition to expert guidance, our classes help families build connections and create the “village” they’ll rely on throughout their postpartum journey.

  • While many postpartum doulas focus mainly on newborn care and household help during the early weeks postpartum, our team’s expertise in nursing, midwifery, social work, doula care, perinatal mental health, and lactation takes a full-circle, multidisciplinary approach. We combine hands-on support with education, guidance, and ongoing visits—including postpartum planning classes, personalized lactation support, and nine in-home visits over the first nine months to help families feel confident, supported, and equipped throughout the early months of parenthood.

  • This service is ideal for families who are not enrolled in our full postpartum care but would benefit from expert, personalized feeding support. The visits are done in the comfort of your own home, where you are primarily feeding your baby in the early weeks. It’s a great option for addressing unexpected challenges, preparing to return to work while breastfeeding or getting guidance on a specific, short-term concern.

  • Wonderful! This is one of the best investments you can make during pregnancy - many families find they don’t end up needing all the trendy baby items. You can add Rooted Support to most registries as a “custom gift,” include a short description, and set the amount. It’s a meaningful way for friends and family to support you and your baby.

  • Yes! You can email us at rootedmqt@gmail.com and we’ll send you an invoice. Once payment is complete, we’ll deliver the gift card directly to your inbox.

  • Cash, credit card, Venmo, gift cards and HSA/FSA.

  • We are continually seeking out grant funding in order to offer families discounted rates for those that need it. Some clients have opted to put the funds they receive from RxKids towards our services.
